N Brown Group has successfully launched a new website for JD Williams, its flagship brand catering to the midlife demographic. This new platform represents the conclusion of an overarching plan to establish updated online presences for all major brands under the N Brown umbrella.
Following the successful overhauls of Simply Be and Jacomo’s websites, which have reportedly delivered strong performance, the JD Williams site is expected to continue this positive trajectory. According to a statement from N Brown, these websites have shown ‘demonstrated positive results since launch.’
Steve Johnson, the interim executive chair and chief executive at N Brown, expressed his satisfaction with this achievement. He noted, ‘We’re delighted to have completed our priority of launching new trading websites for all of our strategic brands ahead of peak 2024.’ Johnson highlighted that this is part of N Brown’s ongoing business transformation strategy, which is focused on investing for sustainable growth and continuously improving the customer experience.
The websites, including the new JD Williams platform, are now 20% faster than their previous versions. They have also doubled their Google Lighthouse score, a comprehensive system evaluating areas such as performance, accessibility, and best practices.
In addition to these technological advancements, N Brown Group’s financial performance reflects a turnaround, reporting a profit before tax of £5.3 million for the year ending 2 March, compared to a significant loss of £71.1 million in the prior year.
N Brown’s strategic updates to its online platforms signify a robust turnaround and commitment to improvement.
