Gymshark is making significant strides in its omnichannel approach by planning to open four new stores within the coming year. With its expansion strategy in full swing, the brand is set to make a notable impact on the retail landscape.
One of the flagship openings is scheduled for early 2025 at Westfield White City in London. This will be Gymshark’s third permanent location in the capital, following successful openings at Westfield Stratford City and Regent Street. The London store is anticipated to emulate the successful features found in the previous locations.
In addition to its expansion in the UK, Gymshark is set to break new ground in mainland Europe with a store set to open on Kalverstraat, Amsterdam’s prime shopping street, in the spring. The Amsterdam store, spanning 10,000 square feet, will replicate the offerings of the London store, ensuring consistency in customer experience.
Meanwhile, the brand is expanding its reach with a new pop-up store at Bicester Village, opening next month and trading until January. This move is part of Gymshark’s strategy to engage with diverse consumer bases across various popular shopping destinations.
By next summer, the Trafford Centre in Manchester will house a new 7,500 square foot Gymshark store, featuring the brand’s core product range as well as exclusive store items. This follows the earlier introduction of Gymshark’s wholesale products at Selfridges within the Centre.
The exciting expansion announcements coincide with Gymshark’s recent opening in Dubai Mall, marking the brand’s seventh global location planned by next summer. Hannah Mercer, the general manager of wholesale and retail, expressed enthusiasm about the expansion, stating, “We’ve said for a while now that we are fully committed to an omnichannel strategy, and today’s announcement is a real ‘ramping up’ moment on this pledge.”
With strategic store openings across key global locations, Gymshark is poised to enhance its presence and strengthen its relationship with fitness enthusiasts worldwide.
