Tesco is embarking on an innovative partnership with Creams café to launch concessions in its UK stores. This strategic move builds on the successful trial of a standalone Creams café at the Tesco Extra in Streatham last November. Consequently, Tesco is broadening its in-store offerings to include an enticing variety of desserts, elevating the customer experience.
Beginning in early August, customers in Gateshead and Maryhill will be the first to experience this new addition. These cafés are set to open on the 3rd and 4th of August, forming the spearhead of a more extensive rollout planned throughout the year.
The collaboration will feature an array of 24 gelato flavours, alongside a selection of desserts including waffles, cookie dough, crepes, sundaes, and milkshakes. This diverse menu will augment Tesco’s existing food offerings, providing a unique culinary option within the supermarket.
According to Everett Fieldgate, CEO of Creams, this partnership promises an exceptional family-focused experience. He states, “Our offer is all about families with young children and this is going to give Tesco something that I believe is unique among UK supermarkets.”
In addition to culinary enhancements, Tesco is investing in digital transformation within its cafés. This includes the integration of digital kiosks for ordering, kitchen automation systems, inventory control, and advanced menu management. These technological advancements aim to streamline operations and enhance customer satisfaction.
This strategic partnership between Tesco and Creams is poised to revolutionise the in-store dessert experience for UK shoppers.
