Zizzi is set to enhance its presence in the UK grocery sector by introducing three new products in Tesco and Waitrose, as part of its at-home dining range.
The Italian restaurant chain Zizzi, known for its authentic cuisine, will debut three new products in Tesco and Waitrose. These offerings are part of Zizzi’s strategy to provide a restaurant-like experience at home. In Waitrose, customers can look forward to the exclusive Rustica Aubergine Parmigiana Pizza, alongside the Rustica Sticky Pig Pizza and an improved Garlic Bread with Mozzarella being introduced nationwide this month.
Meanwhile, Tesco will feature the Rustica Sticky Pig Pizza, alongside new selections like the Pappardelle Beef Ragu and an enhanced Casareccia Chicken Piccante. Additionally, options such as Italian Ham and Mushroom Rustica Pizza, Piccante Pepperoni, Chorizo Carbonara, and Carne Piccante Calzone will be available, broadening the choices for Tesco shoppers.
Rachel Hendry, Zizzi’s Retail and Grocery Director, expressed excitement about these launches, emphasising the effort put into developing unique recipes and maintaining the quality and flavour synonymous with Zizzi. “We have worked hard to develop unique products and delicious recipes using high-quality, recognisably Zizzi ingredients,” she noted. The focus remains on ensuring these grocery products closely resemble the experience offered in Zizzi’s restaurants.
Zizzi’s expansion into the grocery market began in 2020 with Sainsbury’s, and it has steadily increased its footprint in leading UK supermarkets. Earlier this year, the introduction of branded frozen sections in Morrisons and a special meal deal in 200 stores significantly boosted sales, leading to nearly 1,000 pizzas sold daily.
Zizzi’s latest product launches at Tesco and Waitrose are set to bring their restaurant experience into more homes across the UK, continuing their innovative approach to retail.
