In a strategic move to enhance its yoghurt range, Arla unveils three new products aimed at delivering diversity and health benefits to consumers.
Arla, a notable player in the dairy industry, is investing in its yoghurt line-up with the introduction of three innovative products this November. These additions are crafted to meet varied consumer preferences, offering both health benefits and rich taste experiences. One of the highlighted offerings is the LactoFREE natural yoghurt, presented in a 400g variant, which caters to those preferring dairy without the lactose while fortifying their intake with vitamin D.
Additionally, Arla expands its Skyr series with the Skyr Whipped, an Icelandic-style yoghurt layered over fruit compote. This product comes in delectable flavours, including Strawberries and Cream, Caramelised Orange, and Coconut and White Chocolate, providing both indulgence and nutrition. Skyr Whipped combines the traditional aspects of skyr with a modern twist to attract a broad audience.
Further diversifying their portfolio, Arla introduces a 450g Protein Pot, available in Vanilla and Strawberry flavours. This product is specifically designed for those seeking high-protein options, boasting 45g of protein per serving to support dietary needs and active lifestyles.
Catriona Mantle, Arla Foods’ associate category director, emphasised the company’s enduring commitment to offering varied yoghurt choices. Reflecting on nearly a decade of presence in the UK market, she highlighted that Arla’s expansion signifies an effort to cater to functional consumption and indulgent desires alike. According to Mantle, “Health and taste are the biggest reasons that shoppers are generally consuming yoghurts, but we also know that shoppers aren’t shopping for ‘yoghurts’, they’re shopping for specific occasions.” She further expressed enthusiasm about future developments, indicating plans to introduce more innovations in 2025.
Amidst these product innovations, Arla is also collaborating with Müller and Tesco in the ‘Future Dairy Partnership’ to promote sustainability in agriculture. This alliance aims to unite various organisations within the dairy sector to achieve a substantial reduction in farm-related emissions by the year 2030, marking another step in Arla’s commitment to sustainable practices.
Arla’s latest yoghurt introductions underscore its dedication to providing health-conscious, varied, and appealing options to consumers, while also actively engaging in sustainable agricultural efforts.
