Creative agency Milk & Tweed is expanding its team with the addition of three new recruits, as the Wiltshire-based firm continues to grow in response to rising demand for its website design and digital marketing services. The appointments come as the agency, which specialises in branding, logo design, and digital solutions, looks to maintain its high standards amid a surge of new clients.
Creative Director Jake Jeffries said that the agency’s latest hires – junior digital marketers Tia-may Collins and Charlie Moody, alongside junior web developer Jada Baron – were necessary to keep up with a growing client list. “We have new commissions for websites coming in regularly, and the demand for digital marketing from our existing clients is also increasing,” he said. “To ensure we continue to deliver excellent customer service, we’ve expanded our team.”
Jada Baron, 23, from east London, has made the transition into web development after five years in fashion buying. She decided to pursue a career in tech after completing website coding courses in her spare time. “I enjoyed the fast pace and social aspects of fashion, but tech has always been a big interest of mine,” she said. “It’s where the world is headed, and I wanted to be a part of that.”
Since joining Milk & Tweed, Jada has already been assigned her first website project. “It was daunting at first, but the support I received has been fantastic,” she said. “The collaborative environment here makes it a great place to work.”
Tia-may Collins, 20, from Bristol, is in her first marketing role after working in retail. She has been drawn to marketing since studying business at college. “I really enjoyed the marketing side of things,” she said. “There’s always something new to learn, and I love writing website content and developing my SEO skills. Everyone here has been so welcoming, which has made the experience really enjoyable.”
Charlie Moody, 24, from Great Somerford in Wiltshire, completed her degree in advertising and brand communications despite the challenges posed by Covid disruptions. After a successful placement in marketing, she knew it was the career for her. “I enjoy being creative and helping clients express their creativity through their businesses,” she said. “There’s so much to learn, and it’s keeping me busy and engaged.”
Both Tia-may and Charlie have been working on web and social media copywriting since joining the company. “It’s been great to get a feel for the variety of clients we work with and how we tailor our services to their needs,” Charlie added.
Mr Jeffries believes Milk & Tweed’s vibrant company culture and varied client work are helping attract young talent, even when competing with larger cities like Bristol and Bath. “Finding and retaining the right people is always a challenge, but offering high-quality, creative work and a supportive environment is essential,” he said. “I’m thrilled to welcome Jada, Tia-may, and Charlie to the team – their energy and creativity are already making a difference.”
The agency recently expanded its Chippenham office, taking over an adjacent unit to create a larger open-plan workspace and additional meeting rooms. “The extra space has made a real difference to how we work,” said Mr Jeffries.
