In a move set to transform the landscape of online grocery shopping, Snappy Shopper, a quick-commerce platform, has partnered with online food ordering service, Foodhub. This collaboration aims to extend the reach of UK grocery retailers by integrating Snappy Shopper’s extensive network of convenience stores with the Foodhub app, thereby enhancing customer convenience and retailer visibility.
Through this strategic partnership, consumers across the UK will gain the ability to order groceries seamlessly via the Foodhub app. The initiative promises an “all-in-one” shopping experience designed to maximise the reach of retail partners such as One Stop and Booker, offering rapid delivery at no additional cost. This approach reflects a forward-thinking strategy to fuel growth and provide unmatched convenience to communities.
Mike Callachan, CEO of Snappy Shopper, expressed his enthusiasm, stating that their mission is to foster retailer growth and deliver convenience to communities. He emphasised the significance of collaborations like the one with Foodhub, alongside others with Allwyn UK, Booker Wholesale, and One Stop Retail, to expand both small and large retailers’ access to a wider customer base. “We will continue to innovate and create new opportunities for our retailers to grow their sales during a period when market conditions are tough,” Callachan noted.
Initial stages of this partnership involve a phased rollout, with a selection of Snappy Shopper stores joining the Foodhub platform. The plan is to eventually encompass a nationwide rollout, expanding access to even more shoppers.
Meanwhile, Foodhub CEO Ardian Mula highlighted the benefits for customers, emphasising the ease of ordering essential groceries directly to their door within approximately 30 minutes. As the UK’s fastest-growing takeaway platform, this venture allows Foodhub to offer consumers food and drink at competitive prices, broadening their service scope.
This partnership between Snappy Shopper and Foodhub marks a significant milestone in the evolution of digital grocery shopping in the UK. By merging resources, the firms are poised to redefine customer convenience and extend the reach of their retail partners, adapting to the challenging market conditions with innovative solutions.
