A Manchester-based technology start-up, Street Group, is revolutionising estate agency functions by integrating AI into its software solutions. Following a £3.3 million investment led by Praetura Ventures, the company aims to further streamline processes essential for estate agencies.
Founded in 2015 by Tom and Heather Staff, Street Group offers two main products: Spectre and Street.co.uk. These tools are designed to improve lead generation, client acquisition, and service quality for estate agents. Street Group’s pioneering efforts have not gone unnoticed, being recognised as the Best Overall Supplier and Gold Supplier of the Year at the 2024 industry awards.
The recent investment, which comes from Praetura’s various funding streams including the Northern Powerhouse Investment Fund, marks a significant milestone for the business. This influx of capital will enable Street Group to accelerate their product development, scale up their team, and introduce innovative AI features across their applications.
Spectre, a comprehensive marketing platform, allows agents to automate and manage campaigns via multiple channels, using advanced technologies like AI to predict property sales potential, thereby enhancing marketing effectiveness by over 300%. This tool provides a competitive edge in a crowded market.
Similarly, Street.co.uk focuses on automating traditional processes within sales, lettings, and property management. Supported by AI functionalities, it offers automatic booking, workflow automation in background checks, and even handles issues like tenant maintenance requests, boosting efficiency significantly for agents and clients alike.
Moreover, the company has adapted to modern needs by developing mobile applications for consumers, providing transparency and ease for both home-movers and landlords. Heather Staff highlights the importance of these technological advancements, citing them as key to simplifying one of the most stressful life events—moving home.
Peter Carway, representing Praetura Ventures, expressed strong support for Street Group’s forward-thinking approach, emphasising the potential to bring these advancements to a wider market. His recent appointment to the board is set to guide the company’s innovative path further.
With strategic investment and cutting-edge technology, Street Group is poised to reshape the property tech landscape.
