Ger Wright will be stepping down from her position as Managing Director of Sport at Frasers Group next month, a significant move announced by the retail company. Since joining the group in 2022, Wright has been instrumental in advancing Frasers’ strategic goals, specifically through her contributions to the group’s elevation strategy.
She will officially leave her managing director role on 30 November but will continue to serve on the board as a non-executive director. Her tenure has been marked by substantial achievements, including the introduction of innovative running and outdoor concepts, broadening Frasers Group’s sports proposition.
Under her leadership, Frasers Group successfully onboarded new brands and expanded internationally, positioning itself in new markets and enhancing its global presence. “Ger leaves behind a talented and ambitious team who will continue to evolve and drive the elevation strategy in sport,” noted Frasers in a statement.
Prior to her role at Frasers, Wright gained extensive experience at Nike, where she led merchandising across EMEA. Her industry expertise has been a significant asset to Frasers, fostering growth and innovation within the group.
