In a move set to delight festive food lovers, Aldi is introducing a new delivery service for its popular pigs in blankets as demand reaches record highs in the lead-up to Christmas.
Aldi’s innovative delivery service is scheduled to launch in London on 30 November, offering customers a chance to pre-order deliveries to their doorstep for a modest fee of £5. Not only is this service the first of its kind in the UK, but it also supports a good cause as all proceeds will be donated to Neighbourly, a community giving platform.
The menu boasts a variety of meat options, including the chain’s Specially Selected Ultimate Pigs in Blankets, Truffle Chipolata Pigs in Blankets, and Honey & Ginger Candy Cane in Blankets. Customers can also enjoy Cheese in Blankets and Ashfields Loaded Yorkshire Sliders, making it a comprehensive selection for meat aficionados.
As part of this festive offering, Aldi is also catering to vegan consumers. Vegan options include a Plant Menu Ultimate Footlong Pig in Blanket and Plant Menu Ultimate Pigs in Blankets, ensuring that everyone can partake in this culinary tradition. This initiative comes as predictions indicate that Brits will consume a staggering 761 million pigs in blankets this Christmas.
Aldi’s Managing Director of Buying, Julie Ashfield, commented on the initiative, stating: “The response to our Pigs in Blankets Restaurant has been phenomenal, and we’ve listened to our customers who want a way to enjoy these festive favourites even if they can’t make it to the venue. This UK-first service is our solution, delivering Aldi’s Pigs in Blankets experience directly to shoppers’ homes.”
Furthermore, Aldi has announced a giveaway, beginning 25 November, where the first 1,000 shoppers who email their name, age, and address to [email protected] will receive a £5 voucher. This voucher can be used to purchase up to 30 of Aldi’s pigs in blankets, adding another layer of excitement to their festive offerings.
With the introduction of this unique delivery service, Aldi continues to demonstrate its agility in meeting customer demands and enhancing festive celebrations. By offering both traditional and vegan options, and supporting charitable causes, Aldi underscores its commitment to a diverse and community-focused holiday season.
