In a vital step for environmental conservation, Nectar360 has announced the extension of its partnership with the Woodland Trust until 2027, offering customers an opportunity to contribute to ecological efforts while earning rewards.
Since its inception in 2004, this collaboration between a major retail group and the conservation charity has achieved significant milestones, including the planting of more than 5.1 million trees and the protection of over 2,000 acres of woodland across the UK.
Under the renewed terms, customers can make substantial environmental contributions through everyday shopping activities. Supporters earn 20 points for every £1 spent on Woodland Trust memberships online, and they can also accumulate triple points on selected retail products. Furthermore, these points can be donated to fund initiatives such as creating wildflower meadows and restoring woodlands.
Amir Rasekh, director at Nectar360, emphasised the simplicity of this initiative, stating, ‘The partnership with the Woodland Trust offers customers a simple way to support the environment while earning rewards.’ This falls in line with the broader goals of the retail group’s Plan for Better, which focuses on the protection and restoration of natural ecosystems.
This development coincides with the launch of a new store at Edinburgh Airport, marking the retail group’s strategic move to expand its food, drink, and shopping options for travellers.
The extended partnership between Nectar360 and the Woodland Trust underscores a commitment to sustainable practices, offering consumers a straightforward way to support environmental conservation efforts as part of their regular shopping habits.
