A pioneering plant-based food company is set to release two innovative chicken alternatives this Veganuary, targeting the growing number of consumers interested in meat-free diets.
On January 1st, consumers will find the new chilled ‘Isn’t Chicken Kyiv’, made from a blend of soya and fava protein, available on the shelves of a major supermarket chain. This product is uniquely crafted, featuring a wild garlic plant-based butter filling. Following closely, another popular supermarket will introduce ‘Isn’t Chicken Wings’, starting on January 6th in their frozen foods section, with another retailer joining on January 13th.
The wings boast a seaweed-based crispy skin, providing a texture and taste akin to traditional chicken wings, according to the company’s claims. Notably, they contain lower levels of saturated fat compared to conventional chicken products. The company’s CEO, Mark Cuddigan, expressed enthusiasm about the launch, stating, “Whether you’re fully plant-based or just plant curious this Veganuary, get ready, because This changes everything.”
Cuddigan emphasised the company’s commitment to pushing the boundaries of food innovation, ensuring their products do not compromise on flavour or texture. The introduction of these plant-based options is positioned not only as a culinary advancement but also as a step towards ethical eating practices, striving for a future where animals are not part of the food chain.
Recently, the company underwent a brand refresh, redesigning their packaging to reinforce their dedication to innovation in a competitive market. Cuddigan highlighted that the refreshed look mirrors the company’s ongoing mission to stand out in the plant-based food sector.
These new plant-based products aim to cater to both dedicated vegans and those exploring plant-based diets, making meat-free eating more accessible without sacrificing taste.
