October brings a wave of fresh venues to Manchester’s dining scene, promising to delight locals and visitors alike. Among these is a new smashed burger concept opening in the Northern Quarter. The establishment, led by the team behind Almost Famous, will offer limited quantities of gourmet burgers crafted with a special blend of beef, ensuring quality remains a top priority.
Oxford Road will soon be home to Detroit Slims, a ‘quick-service’ restaurant offering 10-inch rectangle-shaped pizzas. Developed by the team behind acclaimed venues Diecast and Ramona, the restaurant will serve an array of innovative dips like Kimchi Mayo and Hot Honey, alongside its signature pizzas.
In the heart of Manchester City Centre, El Kabron will bring a taste of the Basque country to eager diners. This Spanish tapas bar, inspired by taverns from the region, is set to open in place of the former Bowlers unit. Guests can expect a delectable selection of pintxo, alongside takeaway sandwiches and cured meats, complemented by a range of beers, sangria, and cocktails.
Nichi will soon enhance the Trafford Centre’s culinary offerings with a fusion of Japanese and Peruvian flavours. The restaurant will feature an experienced team, including a former head chef from renowned dining establishments. Nichi promises a unique experience with its Omakase tasting menu, Wagyu dishes, and tableside flambe.
Returning to Manchester City Centre, the MUSU Collection will reintroduce high-end Japanese dining through three distinct experiences. The venture includes KAJI, focused on ‘advanced’ grilling techniques and ‘bold’ flavours, and will also see contributions from distinguished chefs Andre Aguiar and Steven Smith.
Manchester’s dining landscape is set for an exciting evolution with these new offerings.
