Jeremy Clarkson’s Hawkstone brand has achieved a significant milestone by partnering with Waitrose, securing its first national grocery listing. As a result, both the beer and cider will be available in more than 300 Waitrose stores throughout the United Kingdom. This opportunity marks a pivotal moment for the brand, which was launched in 2021 by the former television presenter turned farmer.
Hawkstone is noted for its dedication to promoting British agriculture. The beer is brewed with barley sourced from British farmers, while the cider is crafted using apples grown in local orchards. This emphasis on utilising native ingredients has earned the brand a loyal following, reinforcing its reputation within the industry.
The move to Waitrose comes shortly after Hawkstone was included in the Sunday Times Top 100 fastest-growing UK companies. Jourdan Gabbini from Waitrose expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, stating, “We’re committed to showcasing the best of British at Waitrose and hero-ing our British farmers, and Hawkstone’s delicious beer and cider range does just that.”
Among the Hawkstone offerings now available at Waitrose are the premium lager, session ale, IPA, and cider. The flagship premium lager boasts accolades such as the title of Country Winner at the World Beer Awards and a Great Taste Award, underscoring the brand’s status as a high-quality contender in the competitive beverage market.
Further cementing its presence, Hawkstone has also introduced its first ‘Hawkstone Filling Station’ at The Farmer’s Dog, a pub owned by Jeremy Clarkson in the Cotswolds. This move is seen as a strategic step in increasing the brand’s visibility and accessibility to consumers.
Hawkstone’s national expansion into Waitrose exemplifies its rapid growth and ongoing commitment to supporting British farming.
