Jones AV, a Wirral-based company specialising in audio-visual technology for operating theatres, has received a ‘significant six-figure investment’ from River Capital. Founded in 2008 by Director Ingo Aicher, Jones AV has established itself as a pioneer in medical audio-visual integration, with its technology currently installed in over 600 operating theatres across 13 countries.
The company was recently honoured at the 2024 Innovation Awards in Barcelona for its ‘Integrated Operating Theatre of Things’ system, reflecting its leadership in the industry. The new investment will be instrumental in continuing this trajectory of growth.
River Capital, which manages the £18m North West Business Growth Loan Fund, backs this initiative along with support from the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority’s Flexible Growth Fund. This financial backing will enable Jones AV to not only enhance its proprietary operating theatre control software but also significantly bolster its competitive edge and profitability in the medical technology market.
