Uniqlo’s White City Westfield store has reopened its doors following a significant renovation project that spanned ten months. The updated space offers customers an enriched shopping experience with an expanded shopfloor designed to house a broader range of LifeWear products across two distinct levels.
The renovated store includes a newly developed play area located within the children’s section, aiming to provide a welcoming and enjoyable environment for families as they shop. This addition reflects Uniqlo’s commitment to enhancing the shopping experience for family visitors.
In an effort to raise awareness and educate the public about homelessness, Uniqlo has unveiled a special collaboration with Crisis, a longstanding nonprofit partner since 2021. The partnership is highlighted through the creation of two new characters, Mr. and Little Miss Invisible, introduced with the input of individuals who have experienced homelessness. These characters are featured on limited-edition t-shirts available exclusively at the White City location.
Alessandro Dudech, Uniqlo UK’s chief operating officer, expressed enthusiasm for the reopening, stating: “We are excited to reopen our White City Westfield store and welcome back customers to explore our larger and more vibrant store,” adding that the new store maintains a focus on family-friendly shopping with its expanded kids and baby department.
The reopening of the White City store follows the company’s recent opening of their Coal Drops Yard location, another innovative retail space dedicated to sustainability. This facility allows shoppers to recycle, repair, or remake garments, thus extending the life of their clothing, reflecting Uniqlo’s sustainable practices.
Uniqlo’s White City Westfield store’s reopening showcases a strategic blend of retail expansion and social responsibility.
