Frasers Group has opened a new flagship store at Sheffield’s Meadowhall, representing a significant move away from the House of Fraser brand. This extensive 100,000 square foot space covers two floors and brings together a diverse range of products, including men’s, women’s, and children’s fashion, beauty products, footwear, and homeware. Key fashion brands such as Ganni, Rains, and Nobody’s Child are featured prominently, along with shoe and accessory brands including Ugg, Longchamp, and Coach.
The ground floor prioritises beauty, showcasing a mix of emerging and renowned brands like Creed, Clarins, and ghd. Perhaps most notable is the introduction of Frasers Home, the largest concept of its kind within the group, with a variety of specialist homeware brands supported by the Sofa.com business. At the forefront of the store, a partnership with a well-known food vendor brings an additional food-to-go option for shoppers.
On the second floor, Sports Direct occupies a substantial 55,000 square foot area. This section includes popular sports brands such as Nike, Under Armour, Adidas, Asics, On Running, and Puma. Furthermore, the space caters to cycling enthusiasts with an Evans Cycles store, offering a workshop and a comprehensive selection of bicycles, parts, and accessories. The newly introduced outdoor concept and a running section, equipped with a running gait analysis machine, enhance the sport-based offerings.
The second floor also introduces the new Nike Football department, only the second of its kind, following its debut at a London store. According to David Epstein, managing director of premium and luxury at Frasers Group, the Meadowhall flagship is designed to set new standards in retail through strategic partnerships with leading premium and lifestyle brands. Epstein emphasised the creation of an engaging space that highlights the quality, variety, and innovation of its offerings, aiming to inspire and captivate consumers.
Frasers’ Meadowhall flagship exemplifies its commitment to redefining retail, blending diverse offerings with innovative concepts.
