Moonpig and The Entertainer have formed a strategic partnership to offer a curated selection of toys alongside personalised cards. This collaboration is set to provide Moonpig’s customers access to up to 200 new toy products, expanding their options for gifting occasions such as birthdays and new baby celebrations.
The toys available from this new collection include popular brands such as Paw Patrol, Barbie, and Squishmallows. Furthermore, the range will feature a mix of soft toys and character sets, including favourites like The Gruffalo, Peter Rabbit, Bluey, and Peppa Pig, priced between £12 and £35.
A key component of this initiative is Moonpig’s adoption of The Entertainer’s Toy Box – Total Retail Solution. This service enables retailers to tailor their toy offerings by utilizing bespoke sourcing and retail execution, enhancing the overall customer experience.
Earlier, The Entertainer expanded its partnership with Tesco, integrating its toy offerings into 759 supermarkets across the UK and 94 in Ireland. This reflects the growing trend of retailers collaborating to enhance their product offerings and reach new customer segments.
According to The Entertainer group CEO Andrew Murphy OBE, the collaboration with Moonpig is a testament to the versatility and appeal of their offering. “Our partnership with Moonpig is testament to the versatility, as well as the attractiveness, of this offer,” Murphy stated, expressing enthusiasm for this new venture.
Moonpig’s UK general manager David Rimmer emphasized the importance of personalisation and convenience in this new collection. The platform will utilise intelligent prompts based on customer data to suggest the most suitable gift options, reinforcing Moonpig’s strategy to maintain a selection of premium brands on their site.
Rimmer expressed confidence in the new collection’s potential to solidify Moonpig’s position as a leading destination for gifting needs. “Our aim is to always provide customers with the opportunity to create the most personalised card and gift combinations,” he added, highlighting the commitment to expanding their baby and children’s gifting ranges.
The partnership between Moonpig and The Entertainer signifies a strategic move towards enhancing personalisation in the gifting market.
