Nigel Blow, an ex-Harrods director, will not assume the CEO role at Fenwick.
- His withdrawal follows a BBC documentary exposing allegations against Mohamed Al Fayed.
- Over 20 women accused Al Fayed of assault during his ownership of Harrods.
- The Justice For Harrods Survivors campaign now represents more than 70 clients.
- Blow’s future at Morleys remains uncertain.
Nigel Blow, a former director at Harrods, has decided not to take up the position of Chief Executive Officer at Fenwick. This decision follows the airing of a BBC documentary which revealed multiple allegations of sexual assault and rape against Mohamed Al Fayed, Harrods’ former owner.
The documentary, based on testimony from more than 20 women, alleged that Al Fayed committed these acts during his ownership of the prestigious department store. The revelations have resulted in a surge of legal action, with over 70 individuals now represented by the Justice For Harrods Survivors campaign.
Fenwick, a well-established department store, had announced in July 2024 that Blow would be stepping into the CEO role. However, Nigel Blow recently informed the company that he would not be joining their executive team this month as planned.
Blow’s decision to decline the position at Fenwick raises questions about whether he will continue with Morleys, another department store chain where he is currently employed. No official statement has been made regarding his role at Morleys.
The situation remains dynamic as allegations against Al Fayed continue to unfold.
