Iceland Foods is set to launch an exclusive range of Blue Dragon products on 28 August, aiming to provide consumers with a more affordable alternative to traditional takeaways. This new line encompasses 12 Asian-inspired items, featuring both classic choices and innovative twists on favourites.
Among the offerings are the Hoisin sauce half duck with pancakes, sweet and sour chicken noodles, and a creative take on traditional dishes with the introduction of hoisin duck pizza and sweet chilli chicken pizza. The pricing begins at £3.50, catering to budget-conscious shoppers.
In line with its dedication to cost savings, Iceland includes half of its new range in a special offer—three products for £10. This initiative is part of a larger strategy to cut prices on 200 products, allowing customers to save significantly on groceries like Richmond Sausages and Greggs cheese and onion bakes.
Andrew Staniland, Iceland’s group buying director, stresses the importance of providing families with accessible culinary options amidst current economic challenges. He states, “Nothing beats a Friday night family takeaway. But the price of one today means they’re out of reach for many families – especially those with lots of mouths to feed. Our exclusive new Blue Dragon range means families don’t have to miss out.”
This launch arrives at a critical time as Iceland has also notably lowered prices on baby formula, clearly demonstrating a commitment to supporting families during the ongoing cost-of-living crisis.
Iceland Foods continues to enhance its product offerings and cost-saving strategies with the introduction of the new Blue Dragon range.
