A virtual reality learning firm headquartered in Gloucestershire is predicting substantial growth as it solidifies its presence in the United States. The company, which supplies VR headsets, software, and educational content, is projecting an increase in revenue and EBITDA by over 50% in the coming year. The expansion into the US market has been a significant contributor to this optimistic forecast.
Avantis Education has successfully integrated itself into the US educational system, now collaborating with more than 2,500 schools across 1,200 school districts. Some of the key partnerships include those with Los Angeles Unified School District in California, St Vrain Valley Schools in Colorado, and Montgomery Public Schools in Alabama. These partnerships are proving pivotal in scaling the company’s reach and influence.
In a strategic move to deepen its market integration, Avantis has tailored over 400 of its lessons to align with the United States State Standards covering subjects such as science, social studies, and English Language Arts. This alignment is aimed at enhancing the relevance and applicability of its educational content, ensuring its wide adoption across schools.
The organisation is not only focusing on its US operations but is also eyeing further growth opportunities in the EMEA and Asia regions. The continuation of investment in content development is seen as a critical factor in driving revenue from software subscriptions. Currently, ten thousand schools are subscribed to Avantis’ SaaS licensing model.
Huw Williams, the CEO of Avantis Education Group, emphasised the growth potential, stating, ‘From a growth perspective, there is a significant opportunity with US school districts, which help us to scale at pace.’ This sentiment is echoed by partner Aziz Ul-Haq from LDC, who praised the firm’s reputation as a leader in VR and AR technology for education. LDC’s investment in Avantis is expected to further accelerate this growth trajectory.
The strategic expansion and investment initiatives signal a promising future for Avantis in the global educational technology sphere.
