Sports Shoes, established by Bruce Bannister, a retired footballer known for his career at Leeds United and Bradford City, is stepping up its digital footprint with this app launch. The company, based in Bradford, is renowned for its extensive collection, offering over 17,000 products from 150 global brands, including Hoka, Puma, Gymshark, and Adidas.
The app was developed in collaboration with One Iota, a specialist solutions provider. It marks the company’s first venture into dedicated mobile ecommerce, aiming to bring a more tailored shopping experience. This initiative follows the replatforming of Sports Shoes’s websites to enhance their online infrastructure for both UK and international customers.
In the past financial year, Sports Shoes has seen significant growth. The company’s turnover increased by 11% to £90 million. Additionally, it achieved substantial customer engagement, with 663,000 new customers and 749,000 repeat orders noted in the 12 months leading up to February 2024.
