In anticipation of the 2025 Ryder Cup, which is celebrated as one of the world’s leading sporting events, a groundbreaking Mixed Reality promotional video has been launched.
The creative team, consisting of video and CGI specialists adam+gary from Manchester, partnered with the Ryder Cup to create a visually captivating piece set against the backdrop of New York City.
This video features a combination of live-action and 3D animation, with a giant gold golf ball seen teeing off from Washington Street in DUMBO, travelling over Manhattan’s iconic skyline, and ending perfectly in Central Park.
Gary Bannister-Simm, director of moving image at adam+gary, expressed his satisfaction with the project, remarking on the Ryder Cup team’s openness to creative ideas and describing the process as seamless once they envisioned New York as a golfer’s paradise.
