John Whittle has been promoted to the position of Managing Director at Lime Pictures, taking over from the outgoing joint Managing Directors, Kate Little and Claire Poyser. A seasoned professional with substantial experience in the industry, Whittle’s ascent to this role marks a significant change in the company’s leadership.
Having served as finance director at Lime Pictures since 2016, Whittle has accumulated considerable expertise. His career includes pivotal positions at Universal Pictures, where he rose to Vice President of Finance, and spent time working in Australia and Scandinavia before taking up his position in London.
In his new role, Whittle is set to collaborate closely with the company’s creative leaders, notably Hannah Cheers, the Executive Producer of Hollyoaks, and the heads of the children and family divisions, Angelo Abela and Tim Compton.
