BGN, a design and digital agency based in Manchester, has revamped the much-loved FUNKIN COCKTAILS Ultimate Nitro Cocktail Advent Calendar for 2024. The agency aims to provide a fresh look by introducing a unique shape and design that is in line with current trends. This initiative is encapsulated in the campaign line, “Anytime, Anywhere. IT’S FUNKIN TIME”.
FUNKIN COCKTAILS, a leading UK cocktail brand, launched its first advent calendar in 2022 and continues to innovate. The 2024 edition highlights its Nitro Cocktail range, which features alcoholic mixed drinks enhanced with nitrogen for a smooth and velvety texture. The calendar is available exclusively online.
David Newton, the creative director at BGN, shares that the design is inspired by Gen-Z styles. “We have put FUNKIN COCKTAILS’ signature brand colour, purple, front and centre,” he said, “alongside accent colours for each Nitro Cocktail featured in the calendar. Vibrant patterns and prints contribute to a fun, youthful aesthetic.”
Maintaining a strong brand presence was essential in the redesign. David Newton emphasised the importance of keeping the FUNKIN COCKTAILS logo prominent in the visual hierarchy.
Beth Gallagher, head of digital marketing at FUNKIN COCKTAILS, noted that Christmas is a key trading period. She praised BGN’s work, saying it successfully combines fun, joy, and aspiration, resulting in positive feedback across the UK.
