Lancaster-based Fuuse, known for its innovations in EV charging solutions, has strengthened its position by acquiring several assets from Everyday EV. This acquisition is aimed at bolstering Fuuse’s ability to offer consistent and reliable support to businesses managing charge points and their EV drivers. Everyday EV has built a reputation as a leader in driver support and charger monitoring services across the UK.
With this strategic move, Fuuse aims to enhance the experience of EV drivers by ensuring public Charge Point Operators (CPOs) comply with the latest regulations. The recently enacted Public Charge Point Regulations, effective from 24 November 2024, mandate a free-to-call 24/7 helpline for public charge points. In response, Fuuse has invested in expanding their team, equipping them with the necessary tools and expertise to remain at the forefront of the industry.
Dan Lucy-Lloyd, head of network operations at Fuuse, stated that the company’s investment in people and technology will enable them to provide a high-quality experience for drivers. This acquisition not only strengthens Fuuse’s existing support services but also enhances the reliability and uptime of chargers for CPOs, delivering an improved service to all involved.
Michael Gibson, CEO of Fuuse, elaborated on the growth prospects this acquisition presents. He highlighted the increasing importance of charging infrastructure as a critical component for various UK businesses, including commercial entities and emergency services. Fuuse’s enhanced capabilities will support companies invested in electric vehicles, ensuring they benefit from dependable and efficient charging solutions.
