For the first time on 22 May 2025, the STEM Marketing Awards will honour national marketing achievements within the STEM sectors. Leaders from notable organisations such as EA Technology and McLaren are among those forming an independent judging panel, underscoring the awards’ prestige.
Chris Witte, head of marketing at EA Technology, emphasised the awards’ potential importance amid the energy sector’s transition to renewable resources. He highlighted the critical skills shortage faced in engineering and technology, noting that the awards could play a role in recognising excellence in these fields.
Emma Degnan, a senior marketing campaign specialist at Thermo Fisher, expressed optimism that the awards would highlight the diversity and opportunity in STEM careers. She pointed to the significance of marketing within these rapidly changing industries, where continuous learning and skills development are crucial.
Adding to this, Jennifer Watkiss from WSP noted that marketing in the STEM fields requires a unique blend of technical know-how and audience insight. She welcomed the awards as a long-overdue recognition of the complexities involved in marketing sophisticated products and solutions.
