Authentic Brands Group has taken a significant step in its global expansion by opening a new European headquarters in London. Situated at the prestigious 5 Marble Arch, this office spans 25,000 square feet, complete with product showrooms and essential office space.
The London headquarters will serve as the strategic hub for Authentic’s operations in Europe. Currently, it employs approximately 70 individuals, responsible for overseeing the company’s diverse array of brands, including Ted Baker, Hunter, Reebok, and Forever 21.
Jarrod Weber, the global president of sports and lifestyle at Authentic, expressed enthusiasm about the new office. He remarked, “As Authentic continues to establish its presence globally, we are pleased to open our new corporate office at 5 Marble Arch, which serves as the headquarters for our European division. Being on-site for this rollout was great, and our doors have been and will continue to be open for business.”
On 5 June, Authentic announced a significant move by agreeing to acquire the intellectual property and certain operating assets of the sportswear brand Champion. This deal, valued at $1.2 billion (£940 million), further showcases Authentic’s commitment to growth and diversification.
In addition to this acquisition, the group is actively searching for a new operating partner to manage the retail and e-commerce operations of Ted Baker within the UK and Europe. This search follows Ted Baker’s collapse into administration in March.
