Fenwick, a renowned department store, has opened its largest beauty hall yet, located in Newcastle. This impressive space, claimed to be the largest beauty hall in the UK outside London, covers an expansive 26,000 square feet. With this launch, visitors can explore two newly enlarged atriums and enjoy the natural light pouring in through 56 feet of facade windows overlooking Northumberland Street.
The hall is adorned with more than 1,600 square feet of terrazzo flooring, adding a modern touch to its grand design. At the heart of this beauty haven lies a 50-foot fragrance bar, providing an immersive olfactory experience with a wide range of scents.
Visitors will find 163 brands showcased within the hall, encompassing a diverse array of products including makeup, skincare, contemporary and couture beauty, and niche fragrances. Among the 23 new beauty counters are globally recognised brands such as Hourglass, Charlotte Tilbury, Le Labo, and Carolina Herrera, offering a unique shopping experience for beauty enthusiasts.
In addition to the retail offerings, the beauty hall also presents five beauty treatment rooms, providing services like manicures, blow-drys, brow shaping, lash extensions, facials, and makeup appointments, ensuring comprehensive beauty solutions for all visitors.
The development of the Newcastle beauty hall is tied to Fenwick’s ‘Beauty with Bite’ campaign. This initiative, in collaboration with entrepreneur Sharmadean Reid’s The Stack World, a platform dedicated to empowering women in business, includes a series of events. Among these, a curated shoot by The Stack World features players from Newcastle United’s Women’s football team. Hazel Ayers, Fenwick’s director of buying and merchandising, remarked on the reimagined beauty hall, stating it “demonstrates the continual evolution of the Fenwick in-store customer experience offering an unrivalled edit, innovative new products and brands, and expert beauty services.”
Fenwick’s Newcastle launch marks a significant milestone in enhancing the in-store beauty experience in the UK.
