Gousto has strategically appointed Murray Lambell as the new Chief Customer Officer, following a successful financial turnaround last year, demonstrating the company’s ambition to capture a larger share of the mainstream dinner market.
Lambell’s substantial experience at eBay, where he served as Vice President and General Manager of Global Business Selling, is expected to significantly benefit Gousto. His tenure at eBay also included roles in loyalty, retention, commercial strategy, and business development since joining in 2008.
In his new position at Gousto, Lambell will oversee teams responsible for customer insights, brand management, sustainability initiatives, food procurement, and customer care. His role will be crucial in enhancing Gousto’s customer engagement and market penetration.
This transition sees Lambell replacing Sally Matthews, who will now focus on the company’s long-term strategy as Chief Strategy Officer. This alignment illustrates Gousto’s plan to delve deeper into mainstream markets.
Gousto’s CEO, Timo Boldt, expressed confidence in Lambell’s ability to enhance the customer experience, citing his passion for inclusion and collaboration as pivotal to fostering greater customer value. Boldt stated, “We are deeply customer obsessed… Murray’s wealth of experience and dedication to the customer will help take this to the next level, enhancing the overall customer experience.”
The appointment of Murray Lambell as CCO marks a significant step in Gousto’s strategy to enhance market presence and customer engagement.
