Boohoo Group executives find themselves at the centre of a serious investigation as Manchester and Kent police scrutinise allegations of stalking and corporate espionage. Reports indicate that prominent figures within the company, such as Dan Finley, John Lyttle, and co-founder Mahmud Kamani, have been subject to secret surveillance.
The alleged stalkers reportedly trailed these executives on public transport and in various locations around London, Manchester, and Kent. Highlighting a worrying trend, some directors reported being watched from their homes. An incident of assault was mentioned involving chair Mahmud Kamani. Meanwhile, John Lyttle, who recently resigned, claimed to have encountered trespassers on his property.
Adding a layer of complexity to the case, Boohoo unearthed surveillance equipment outside its Manchester headquarters on 13 November. This device purportedly captured footage of staff entering and leaving the premises. The discovery prompted immediate action, with the equipment being handed to the police and the incident reported to the Information Commissioner’s Office and local authorities.
The police have stated that their probe remains active, focusing on crimes that have caused significant alarm and distress.
