Superdry’s chief commercial officer, Craig McGregor, is preparing to exit his position, coinciding with the implementation of a significant restructuring plan by the company. His departure comes at a critical time as Superdry navigates through strategic changes aimed at securing its future.
Having joined Superdry in March 2020, McGregor brought a wealth of experience to the role, having previously served as retail director at several notable companies, including Wilko, Specsavers, and Topshop. In his time at Superdry, McGregor advanced to the position of chief commercial officer in January 2024.
Faced with financial challenges, Superdry has outlined a restructuring strategy focused on reducing its retail footprint as a preventive measure against potential administration. The plan, detailed on 21 May, is awaiting a sanction hearing scheduled for 17 and 18 June.
The company recently underwent another significant leadership change with the exit of its chief financial officer, Shaun Wills, on 31 March. Giles David, former chief financial officer of McColl’s, has temporarily taken over this role.
Despite these shifts, Superdry maintains that no further changes to its leadership team are planned at this stage, with the recent appointment of Dafydd Moore as technology director reinforcing this stance. Moore, who started on 3 June, brings extensive expertise from his previous role at Halfords.
Superdry remains focused on executing its restructuring plan as it undergoes leadership transitions.
