Morrisons has launched its Black Friday deals ahead of schedule this year, providing consumers with an opportunity to save significantly on Christmas gifts.
The supermarket chain’s campaign features a wide array of popular products across various categories, including beauty, household items, and kitchen appliances. These deals promise savings of up to 95% compared to premium brands, making them highly attractive to budget-conscious shoppers.
Available from 18 November, the discounts are set to attract considerable attention in select stores. Among the standout offers is the Bistro Chef Stand Up Mixer, priced at £50, which represents an impressive 89% saving compared to the KitchenAid Classic Stand Mixer, originally priced at £449. Additionally, the Progress 7L Dual Air Fryer is available for £50, offering up a 42% saving compared to the Ninja 7.6L Foodi Dual Zone Air Fryer, priced at £119.
Alex Rogerson, Morrisons’ group marketing and customer director, remarked on the scale of this year’s campaign. ‘We know Black Friday is a big moment for our customers who are on the lookout for the best deals in the market. This year we’ve gone bigger than ever before to offer a huge range of products at knock-out prices – making it even easier to tick off items on the Christmas gift list – but don’t hang about, because when they’re gone, they’re gone,’ he said.
The early unveiling of these bargains coincides with Morrisons’ release of its 2024 Christmas advert, which features a return performance by last year’s popular singing oven gloves. The advert, created by the agency Leo Burnett, includes a rendition of ‘Give a Little Love’ from Bugsy Malone, performed by a choir of 26 Morrisons colleagues at Abbey Road Studios.
The strategic decision by Morrisons to offer Black Friday deals ahead of time not only caters to eager Christmas shoppers but also underscores the competitive nature of the retail market, driving consumers to act quickly to capitalise on these substantial savings.
