Morrisons has unveiled a new enhancement to its loyalty scheme, offering five More Card points on every product purchased, available both in-store and online.
The enhancement in Morrisons’ loyalty programme is a strategic effort to provide its customers with more value for their purchases. Previously, More points were only accumulated on a select range of products, but this latest development expands the scope to every item available through the retailer, including purchases made via Amazon. This move signifies a considerable shift in the supermarket’s approach to customer rewards.
Shoppers can now earn More points more consistently, facilitating an easier and faster route to securing the coveted ‘Morrisons Fiver’—a £5 voucher redeemable once 5000 points have been collected. Additionally, Morrisons continues to offer up to 50 points for purchases from its premium ‘The Best’ product line throughout December, enhancing the incentive for consumers to choose higher-end products during the festive season.
Alex Rogerson, group marketing director at Morrisons, commented on the initiative, “We wanted to give customers even more bang for their buck when they shop with Morrisons, and now they’ll earn More Points on everything they buy.” This reflects the company’s dedication to maintaining competitive value offerings as it seeks to strengthen its consumer base amid a challenging retail environment.
Further strengthening its market position, Morrisons extended its partnership with Amazon in September. This expansion has incorporated its loyalty scheme into Amazon’s platform, thereby increasing accessibility for customers who prefer online shopping options.
Morrisons’ latest enhancement to its More Card loyalty scheme underscores its commitment to customer satisfaction and retention by offering more rewarding shopping experiences. This strategic move not only broadens the reach of their rewards programme but also aims to create a more appealing customer experience across various purchasing platforms.
