In a bid to offer relief on holiday expenses, Morrisons has launched its Black Friday deals ahead of the official date, presenting an opportunity for consumers to purchase Christmas gifts at significantly reduced prices.
The Morrison’s Black Friday campaign encompasses a range of popular product categories, including beauty, household items, and kitchen appliances, promising savings of up to 95% when compared to premium brands. From 18 November, select stores will feature these discounts, such as a Bistro Chef Stand Up Mixer for £50, marking an 89% saving against the original KitchenAid Classic Stand Mixer priced at £449. Another standout offer includes the Progress 7L Dual Air Fryer on sale for £50, with a saving of up to 42% compared to the Ninja 7.6L Foodi Dual Zone Air Fryer, originally priced at £119.
Alex Rogerson, the group marketing and customer director at Morrisons, emphasised the significance of Black Friday for consumers seeking value. He noted, “We know Black Friday is a big moment for our customers who are on the lookout for the best deals in the market. This year we’ve gone bigger than ever before to offer a huge range of products at knock-out prices – making it even easier to tick off items on the Christmas gift list – but don’t hang about, because when they’re gone, they’re gone.”
This strategic move coincides with the release of Morrisons’ 2024 Christmas advertisement, which reprises the popular singing oven gloves from the previous year. The advert, orchestrated by the creative agency Leo Burnett, features a rendition of ‘Give a Little Love’ from Bugsy Malone, performed by a choir of 26 Morrisons colleagues at the iconic Abbey Road Studios.
Morrisons’ early introduction of Black Friday deals reflects a proactive approach to easing Christmas shopping burdens, reinforcing its commitment to providing value amidst rising costs. With limited-time offers and significant savings, these deals cater to budget-conscious consumers eager to secure holiday gifts well in advance.
