N Brown Group, a prominent player in the retail sector, has announced a strategic move to cut over 100 jobs at its headquarters in Manchester. This comes as the company transitions towards being taken private by the Alliance family, marking a significant organisational shift.
The consultation process, which began last month, involves approximately 200 employees at its Manchester head office in the Northern Quarter. This process is expected to result in 105 job losses, predominantly affecting the head office with 98 roles, alongside seven positions within the company’s supply chain hub.
These redundancies are distributed across various departments, including buying, merchandising, trading, logistics, finance, data, and creative. Such broad-based cuts indicate a comprehensive organisational review intended to align the company’s operations with its strategic objectives.
