In the UK, the new store at Glasgow Fort is particularly noteworthy. This latest addition marks Primark’s 21st store in Scotland, and its 195th in the UK. The site involved a £7.5 million investment and is part of a broader £100 million investment in the UK for this year. This major project has also resulted in new stores at Bury St Edmunds and Teesside Park, alongside various expansions.
In the United States, Primark has further entrenched its presence by opening its tenth New York store at Queens Center, marking its second location in this borough. This opening increases Primark’s total to 28 stores across 11 states, reflecting its growing influence in the American retail market.
Enterprising into Tours, France, for the first time, Primark has added a new outlet at the L’Heure Tranquille shopping centre. This venture has created 100 new jobs and signifies Primark’s entry into a new European market.
Meanwhile, in Spain, Primark has relocated its Leganés store to a more expansive location within the Parquesur shopping centre in Madrid. This move effectively doubles the store’s previous size, offering customers an enhanced shopping experience.
Primark’s Chief Executive, Paul Marchant, stated: “This is an exciting day on our growth journey and a first for Primark.
