In response to rising consumer interest in mindful drinking, a prominent wine retailer has announced a strategic partnership with an expert in low and no-alcohol beverages.
The collaboration aims to drive product innovation and cater to the fast-growing customer demand for low and no-alcohol products. This partnership aligns with the retailer’s strategy to expand its offering in this category, providing customers with an extensive new range of premium beverages.
As part of this initiative, a curated selection of nine low and no-alcohol products will be introduced across over 200 stores in England, Scotland, Wales, and Jersey, as well as online. The assortment includes notable brands such as Eisberg 0% wines, Mederato 0% wines, Three Spirits Nightcap, Everleaf Mountain, Botivo, and Real Drinks Dry Dragon Sparkling Tea. These products are expected to hit the shelves imminently.
The retailer’s decision comes as sales of low and no-alcohol drinks have surged by over 600% since March 2022, reflecting a significant shift in consumer preferences towards more health-conscious choices. This new range effectively doubles the retailer’s current offering in this growing market segment.
Zara Cassidy, the buyer for low and no-alcohol products, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership with the expert brand, noting its alignment with the retailer’s values of quality, choice, and inclusivity. Cassidy acknowledged the growing number of customers interested in more conscious alcohol consumption, asserting that this partnership will enhance the quality and range of options offered nationwide.
Laura Willoughby MBE, co-founder of the partner brand, highlighted their mission to make alcohol-free alternatives as accessible as traditional alcoholic beverages. She emphasised the importance of this initiative, stating that the retailer’s nationwide network and focus on quality will simplify the process of finding the right drink for their customers.
