Sainsbury’s has launched an innovative range of Pan-Asian ready meals, tapping into the growing popularity of Asian cuisine in the UK.
Sainsbury’s has unveiled a distinguished selection of own-brand Pan-Asian ready meals, drawing inspiration from the vibrant traditions of Japanese, Indonesian, Korean, and Thai cuisine. This new offering includes seven main dishes priced from £4 and six complementary sides starting at £2.50. The mains feature enticing options such as Chicken Pad Thai Noodles, Beef Bibimbap, Nasi Goreng, Sticky Chilli Chicken Rice Bowl, Teriyaki Chicken, Chicken Yaki Udon Noodles, and Spicy Gochujang Style Chicken Rice Bowl.
For those seeking delightful accompaniments, the sides offer a variety of choices, including Chilli Fried Chicken, Edamame Beans, Fried Gyoza Selection, Crispy Panko Prawns, Teriyaki Vegetable Bao Buns, and a Dip Selection. This launch is propelled by findings that suggest half of the UK population has sampled at least five types of world cuisines in recent months, with Japanese, Korean, and Thai among the quickest to gain traction.
Katy Winterbottom, a product developer at Sainsbury’s, states, “Our new range of meals are inspired by some of the bold and vibrant flavours you’d expect in popular Japanese, Indonesian, Korean and Thai dishes, so our customers can easily enjoy the foods they want more of, without the expense of travelling or hassle of scratch cooking.” This launch comes shortly after the launch of ten new “Taste the Difference” ready meals, featuring dishes like Smoky Aubergine Tikka Masala and Mexican Style Chimichurri Chicken.
Sainsbury’s continues to expand its culinary offerings, responding to the UK’s evolving taste preferences with this new Pan-Asian range.
