Sofology’s Managing Director, Emma Dinnis, will step down at the end of December as part of DFS’s decision to merge management teams. This move is designed to create a more streamlined management structure, enabling DFS to focus on strategic objectives more efficiently.
In this restructuring, DFS’s Chief Executive Officer, Nick Smith, will take on the role of Group Chief Customer and Commercial Officer. This new position integrates the leadership of Sofology into Smith’s existing duties, thus centralising executive control across the brands.
Arron Burton will support Nick Smith as Group Commercial Director, alongside James Brewer, who will become the Group Marketing Director, and Graham Mould, appointed as Group Customer Operations Director. These roles aim to reinforce a proficient and experienced leadership team across DFS and Sofology.
The restructuring aligns with DFS Group Chief Executive Tim Stacey’s vision to unite the management of DFS and Sofology, creating a simpler structure. Stacey believes this will enable the company to concentrate on its strategic aims, enhance group efficiencies, and strengthen the business overall.
Emma Dinnis, along with Sofology’s Director of Customer Operations Adam Smith and Brand Director Jan Duckworth, will conclude their roles by the end of the month. The transition to this new leadership structure is anticipated to complete by 1st January 2025.
DFS’s management overhaul sets the foundation for a streamlined and strategically focused future.
