Sports Direct has opened its latest ‘elevated’ store at the Midsummer Place shopping centre in Milton Keynes, covering an impressive 50,000 square feet over two floors. This strategic expansion is part of the retailer’s ongoing commitment to enhancing customer experiences through innovative retail spaces. Customers will find a variety of sports and leisure products from top brands such as Nike, Adidas, Under Armour, Puma, and Asics alongside Fraser Group’s own labels like USC, Evans Cycles, Game, and Jack Wills.
This store is notably the first in the UK to feature the Nike Strength range. This premium line of training equipment is crafted to support athletes across all skill levels, showcasing Sports Direct’s focus on offering exclusive and high-quality products.
Central to this new concept is the Home Sport department. This area is designed to seamlessly integrate the benefits of online and in-store shopping. Customers can explore a wide range of products unavailable in physical form, including snooker and pool tables, trampolines, and various gym equipment through digital touchpoints within the store.
Ger Wright, the Managing Director of Sport at Frasers Group, expressed that the opening reflects their dedication to delivering enhanced retail experiences. “The opening of Sports Direct Milton Keynes reflects our continuous ambition to deliver new, elevated experiences to consumers as part of our ongoing growth strategy,” he stated, highlighting the store’s role in their broader expansion plans.
This launch comes on the heels of previous expansions, including a 70,000sq ft Frasers and Sports Direct store in Maidstone and a massive 100,000sq ft flagship store in Sheffield. These openings signify Frasers Group’s aggressive approach in transforming the retail landscape and establishing itself as a key player in the sporting goods market.
The new Sports Direct store in Milton Keynes represents a significant development in retail innovation, setting a new standard for customer engagement.
