Uniqlo is planning to extend its reach in the UK by opening a new store in Liverpool One next Spring. This move is part of their broader strategy to enhance their regional presence across the country by focusing on key cities.
The Liverpool One store will occupy a substantial 1,430 square metres and will be spread over two floors. It will house the brand’s LifeWear range, offering products for men, women, children, and babies, thereby appealing to a broad customer base.
Alessandro Dudech, Uniqlo UK Chief Operating Officer, emphasised the strategic importance of selecting prime retail locations. “As Uniqlo continues to expand across the UK, we are dedicated to selecting the best locations to host our brand,” he stated. He noted the natural progression into Liverpool, a key shopping destination, with the store positioned on the prominent Paradise Street.
Rob Deacon, Grosvenor’s Director of Asset Management, expressed excitement over having Uniqlo on board, highlighting their strategy to create a hub of leading international brands at Liverpool One. He remarked on the benefit of having such renowned names cater to the diverse mix of visitors, both domestic and international.
Recently, Uniqlo has launched several new stores, including a notable opening at Coal Drops Yard. This 800 square metre store is situated within a historical Victorian setting, showcasing the brand’s commitment to unique customer experiences.
