White Stuff, a well-known retailer for women’s, men’s, and children’s clothing, is opening its first airport store at London Gatwick’s North Terminal this November. This expansion is part of the company’s strategic efforts to increase its presence across the UK.
The store spans 1,044 square feet and will offer a selection of White Stuff’s men’s and women’s wear ranges. Shoppers at this location will benefit from the store’s innovative mobile payment system, allowing for seamless transactions.
White Stuff’s latest venture is not an isolated move. It forms part of a wider ambition, which has seen the opening or relocation of eight stores across city centres, shopping malls, and retail parks throughout 2024. This initiative is aimed at bolstering White Stuff’s footprint in the competitive retail market.
According to Tracey Verghese, White Stuff’s trading director, “Opening our first airport store is a major milestone for White Stuff, introducing our brand to many more customers every year. Our unique designs and quality fabrics will be a great addition to London Gatwick’s portfolio of brands.”
The opening coincides with a comprehensive redevelopment effort at Gatwick Airport, which has seen over £10m invested. Improvements include contemporary seating and flooring, and design elements inspired by West Sussex’s countryside, making the terminal a more attractive prospect for retailers such as White Stuff.
Bozena Stoiceva, representing London Gatwick’s retail interests, expressed excitement about the addition, noting that White Stuff’s presence would complement the terminal’s recent enhancements. The brand, recognised as a premium British label, is anticipated to attract both seasoned and new customers.
White Stuff’s strategic debut at Gatwick Airport signals a promising expansion within the UK’s retail landscape.
