Regis Rimbert officially assumes the role of CEO of Wolford on 14 June, marking his return to the company after an eleven-year absence. During his previous tenure, Rimbert served as the chief commercial officer and head of sales from 2009 to 2013.
Rimbert’s predecessor, Silvia Azzali, stepped down from her position due to personal reasons, having led Wolford since July 2023. Her departure paves the way for Rimbert, whose extensive career in the fashion industry makes him a fitting successor.
Rimbert boasts over three decades of experience in the fashion retail sector, including executive roles at renowned houses such as Prada, Christian Dior Couture, and Luella. His leadership at these prestigious brands underscores his capability to steer Wolford towards future success.
From 2013 to 2018, Rimbert held a key role at Lanvin Group, supervising retail, ecommerce, and licenses. He left Lanvin Group post-acquisition by Fosun to establish Uptify, an AI-driven retail management firm. Now, with Wolford under Lanvin’s portfolio, Rimbert’s return is timely.
Lanvin Group’s leadership expresses strong confidence in Rimbert’s vision and leadership skills. Chairman Zhen Huang and CEO Eric Chan have publicly endorsed Rimbert, highlighting his strategic alignment with the group’s goals. They also extended gratitude to Azzali for her impactful contributions.
Rimbert’s appointment is anticipated to catalyse growth at Wolford, leveraging his visionary leadership and industry experience to elevate the brand’s market position.
