Blacks Solicitors has marked a significant achievement by promoting 21 team members across seven specialist teams, affirming its strategy of growth and development. This move encompasses departments such as real estate, commercial dispute resolution, residential property, employment, IT, real estate litigation, and private wealth and succession, illustrating the firm’s breadth of expertise.
The firm recently reported a notable net turnover of £17 million for 2023, underscoring its financial stability and expansion. Currently employing 217 professionals across 21 specialisms, this milestone promotion aligns with Blacks Solicitors’ enduring investment in its people.
In the realm of real estate, Paul Sagar and Marcus Kaye have been promoted to partners, reflecting their dedication and impact. Marcus Kaye expressed his commitment to delivering high-quality services and developing the real estate specialism further, stating, ‘I’m dedicated to continuing to deliver highly valued and quality services in my new role.’
Anna Schiavetta has risen to associate solicitor in employment law, while Danielle Swainston and Claire Cooper have achieved similar elevations in commercial dispute resolution and residential property respectively. Anna’s notable case, alongside barrister Rachel Senior, secured the highest award in the UK for disability discrimination related to menopause, signifying her expertise and impact.
Moreover, several team members have advanced to senior associate solicitor roles, including Annie Beaumont, Samantha Simpson, Andrew Morgan, Yat Wong, and Ben Finley, each specialising in areas such as private wealth and succession and real estate.
Other promotions include non-qualified associate roles for professionals like Jack Parkinson and Will Ashton in residential property, along with advancements in IT with Andy Manns and Gavin Peer. Dawn Atkinson has also been promoted to associate chartered legal executive, further strengthening the residential property team.
