Brendan Bah, a seasoned HR professional, has recently joined the employment law division at LCF Law, located in Yorkshire, bringing with him close to three decades of experience. His career spans significant roles at prestigious institutions including Leeds Arts University, Fox’s Biscuits, Asda, and Leeds and York Partnership NHS Trust.
In his new position, Brendan will operate from LCF Law’s Leeds office as an employment law advisor. He will work closely with James Austin, a partner and notable employment law specialist. His role is pivotal in managing HR issues such as disciplinaries, grievances, and redundancies. Moreover, Brendan is tasked with conducting hearings, drafting and updating employment contracts, and elucidating legislative changes to the clients.
His contributions will extend to aiding businesses utilising LCF Works, which is LCF Law’s tailored employment law and HR advisory service. This package includes unlimited telephonic and written advice along with essential documentation aid. Brendan will also facilitate LCF Law’s presentations, such as complimentary mock employment tribunals, offering practical insights into employment tribunal processes.
Brendan articulated, “HR legislation is continually evolving, and employers must be aware of the latest changes so they can be included in policies and procedures.” He emphasised the importance of addressing HR needs for businesses lacking a dedicated HR professional, thereby enabling fair and sensitive handling of employer-employee relations.
James Austin of LCF Law highlighted Brendan’s extensive experience, which ranges from managing daily HR issues to orchestrating complex projects like large-scale redundancies. “Brendan is vastly experienced and will be a great asset to our team,” he stated.
