Fletchers Group has expanded its influence in the personal injury sector with the strategic acquisition of Emsleys Solicitors’ personal injury division. This move is in line with their ongoing growth strategy, aimed at strengthening their market position through strategic acquisitions.
As part of this acquisition, all 28 employees from Emsleys’ personal injury division, including fee earners and legal support staff, are expected to transition to Fletchers’ recently opened office in Leeds city centre. This transition not only increases Fletchers’ capacity but enhances its expertise in handling complex personal injury claims, such as catastrophic injuries and fatal accident claims.
Emsleys’ clients, who have cases involving employers’ liability and public liability claims, are set to gain from the additional resources and specialised knowledge available at Fletchers. The shared values of both firms, emphasising exceptional client service and outcomes, facilitate a smooth integration process.
Peter Haden, CEO of Fletchers Group, highlighted the acquisition as a significant addition, citing Emsleys’ outstanding track record and aligning goals as key motivators. “Emsleys personal injury business has an outstanding track record and is a strong addition to Fletchers Group. Both firms have the same core values, delivering the very best outcomes and putting clients’ needs first, making us a natural fit,” he stated.
Andrew Greenwood, director at Emsleys Solicitors, echoed this sentiment, recognising the acquisition as timely for helping Emsleys navigate its next phase of growth. He expressed confidence that Fletchers’ reputation and people-centric culture would support both staff and clients, while allowing Emsleys to focus on their non-personal injury services.
This acquisition underscores Fletchers Group’s commitment to expansion and excellence in the personal injury legal sector.
