Sheffield-based MD Law is enhancing its offerings with the launch of a new employment law division, spearheaded by seasoned solicitor Lindsey Gaimster. This strategic move aims to bolster the firm’s existing services, which include corporate law, business recovery, insolvency, litigation, and commercial property.
Lindsey Gaimster, with over ten years of experience in the legal field, is tasked with providing comprehensive employment law services. These services will cover various aspects like redundancies, restructures, director exits, business transfers, and contract reviews. Gaimster’s initial focus will be on catering to MD Law’s current commercial clients while attracting new business.
Reflecting on her new role, Gaimster expressed her enthusiasm: “I have worked with the MD Law team for a number of years, and what attracted me to join them was not only do they have great clients and a great ethos, but how they work aligned with my values, and within this industry sometimes that can get lost. I look forward to helping grow the team and bring this new discipline to the practice.”
Founded by Matthew Dixon nine years ago, MD Law comprises a team of 20 professionals serving clients throughout South Yorkshire. The addition of employment law services under Gaimster’s expertise marks a significant internal development, especially as the company transitions from outsourcing to in-house solutions. This decision is reflective of the firm’s growing and improving client base.
Dixon expressed confidence in Gaimster’s capabilities, stating, “Lindsey brings more than 10 years experience in employment law and will look to quickly develop this side of the business. Previously we have outsourced this work, but as our commercial client base grows, and improves, it made sense to keep this work in the practice. Lindsey’s skills in providing easy to understand advice, no matter how complex the situation, and her down to earth and friendly approach, will mean our clients’ cases will be dealt with both professionally and efficiently. I welcome her to our team of 20 here now.”
The integration of employment law services by MD Law under Lindsey Gaimster’s leadership marks a forward-thinking expansion strategy.
