Switalskis Solicitors has introduced a dedicated service to manage the increasing demand for legal assistance in inheritance disputes across Yorkshire. This initiative is a response to a noticeable rise in such disputes, influenced by factors like complex family relationships, the transfer of generational wealth, the effects of the pandemic, and overall financial pressure, according to data from the Ministry of Justice.
Sandra Kowalska, a solicitor with over six years of experience in handling inheritance disputes, has been appointed to lead this new department. Her career, which began in 2018, is marked by a focus on guiding families through the often stressful process of resolving inheritance issues after the passing of a loved one. Kowalska has completed the Association of Contentious Trust and Probate Specialists (ACTAPS) course, equipping her with specialised skills for this role.
In her statement, Kowalska noted the growing demand for specialised legal teams in Yorkshire, emphasising the stress involved in handling disputes posthumously. She expressed her commitment to guiding clients through these challenging times with care and competence. “Developing this team at Switalskis allows us to fill an important gap and make a meaningful impact in Yorkshire’s legal market,” she stated.
David Greenwood, a director and solicitor at Switalskis, commented on the importance of this new service, pointing out that inheritance disputes often remain unaddressed in the region. He praised Kowalska’s dedication and expertise as key factors that make her the ideal leader for this venture. According to Greenwood, Kowalska’s negotiation skills and compassionate approach are anticipated to deliver excellent client outcomes.
Kowalska will operate from Switalskis’ Doncaster office, extending services across the Yorkshire region, ensuring accessibility for clients facing inheritance disputes.
The initiative by Switalskis marks a significant step forward in providing essential legal services in Yorkshire’s growing inheritance dispute sector.
