This development is set to enhance the firm’s proficiency in tackling property disputes and enforcing recoveries for businesses throughout Lincolnshire, East Yorkshire, and the broader UK.
Victoria Quinn, now a partner at Wilkin Chapman, brings over two decades of experience in real estate litigation. A member of the Property Litigation Association, Quinn is set to work with businesses, investors, and developers on crucial matters such as lease renewals and estate management. Her expertise in the licensed leisure and retail sectors, along with her involvement in infrastructure projects, positions her as an invaluable asset to the team. Quinn expressed her enthusiasm, stating, “I’m pleased to be joining Wilkin Chapman along with Sarah and Jess who I’ve worked with for a number of years and leading the dispute resolution team in Beverley. We are joining at a pivotal time for Wilkin Chapman, and I am motivated by the firm’s plans for the future.”
Joining Quinn is Sarah Hamby, a senior associate and fellow of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives, who specialises in commercial property disputes. With 15 years of experience, Hamby is adept at handling complex cases involving lease renewals, possession claims, and issues concerning lease obligations. Her insights into the Electronic Communications Code further enhance the team’s capability to address telecoms-related disputes. Hamby noted, “Businesses seeking support on lease renewals, possession claims, adverse possession claims, boundary disputes, or easement and rights of way disputes can come to us for specific advice in absolute confidence.”
Jessica Dickinson returns to Wilkin Chapman, focusing on recoveries with a niche in energy litigation. Previously a paralegal with the firm, Dickinson aims to provide expert legal advice on property-related debt recoveries from the Grimsby office. She asserts the importance of efficiency and value for clients, particularly in light of recent changes to claim cost regimes. Dickinson articulated her alignment with the firm’s values, “Wilkin Chapman’s culture and values align with me and I’m excited to return to the firm.”
